Let's be honest—the first half with L is peak psychological thriller. The cat-and-mouse game between Light and L is absolutely gripping. Every episode ends on a cliffhanger. The mind games are brilliant. But after episode 25, the quality drops significantly. The new characters don't have the same impact, and Light's plot armor becomes ridiculous. The ending is satisfying, but the journey there is much weaker. Still worth watching for the first half alone.
